In french one says: "Une vielle chouette". It's a wicked, unplesant woman. An old "owl"
(I mean shrew, the same as The Taming of the Shrew).

But one says also: "C'est chouette" It's great, pretty, pleasing or nice.

Funny to use the same word with opposite meaning !!

These owls are opening their large eyes! They are surprises. Undoubtedly.
